Physical TherapistQualifications: The Physical Therapist must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a college or university approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association accompanied by a current license in the State of Pennsylvania and at least one year of experience in Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapist provides therapy services to those individuals who are ill or infirmed due to physical, developmental, or aging processes. The goal of physical therapy care is to prevent disability, develop and improve muscle groups, relieve pain, and maintain optimum level of physical and functional performance within the patient’s capabilities. Duties/Responsibilities/Functions: These are just some of the duties that you will be expected to perform, but are not limited to the following:

  • Patient evaluation and testing
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating the physical therapy plan of care and goals under the physician’s orders
  • Attend and participate in pain relief treatment conferences, muscle strengthening and reeducation
  • Teaching patients and families
  • Provide transfer and gait training
  • Provide appropriate treatment modalities
