Certified Nursing Assistant CNA

Qualifications: The Certified Nursing Assistant must be certified in the State of Pennsylvania. The CNA home care aide is a paraprofessional member of the homecare team who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs various services for a client as necessary to meet the client's personal needs and to promote comfort. The home care aide is responsible for observing clients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed. The home care aide is supervised every two weeks by the RN Supervisor. Duties/Responsibilities/Functions: These are just some of the duties that you will be expected to perform, but are not limited to the following:

  • Giving personal care including baths, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen as often as necessary
  • Ambulation and range of motion exercises
  • Light housekeeping duties
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and feeding meals to the patient if necessary
